UON has completed the design and supply of a high specification multiple pump-set and water filtration system for an ore handling plant in the Pilbara region of WA. UON was contracted exclusively for the supply project with the skid mounted pump-set assembled entirely at UON’s fabrication facilities in Malaga, Perth.
The system operates five Grundfos CRN120-7 pumps with 75kW Toshiba motors which are multiple duty/assist and supported by two Grundfos CRN32-10 18kW Toshiba motors as duty/standby jockey pumps. The skid is fitted with a 200ltr Hydac SB330-200A hydraulic nitrogen filled accumulator vessel, to maintain constant pressure and manage water hammer. All seven pumps run on variable speed drives.
The system has a design life of 25 years and includes a local motor control station and associated field pressure transmitter instruments for remote monitoring. For more information on UON’s water management systems please visit the UON website or get in touch with the team.
