HDPE pipeline welding has commenced including earthworks for pipeline corridors at a major dewatering and water management project north-west of Tom Price in WA’s Pilbara region. UON will continue construction until June 2018 with a site team of up to 15 people including a dewatering/bore crew, HDPE welders, plant operators, supervisors, HSE, admin and management.
The project comprises the design, fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning of dewatering and water management infrastructure at an Iron Ore mine. UON will supply its PATENT PENDING GMC Generators on Trailers© along with downhole bore equipment and associated HDPE pipelines integrated into the mines plant control system. UON will also complete the upgrade of some existing infrastructure to alleviate bottlenecks.
UON’s client required the infrastructure upgrade after hydrogeological modelling identified a requirement for further dewatering bores to be installed to achieve dry mining conditions. The UON site project team is working closely with the client to ensure minimal disruption to site operations and mining activities.
