Ravensthorpe Town - Temporary Power Station

The small town of Ravensthorpe in the southwest of Western Australia needed a reliable power source. Their existing electricity supply was inadequate and unreliable. As a result Western Power contracted UON to provide a power station on a two year contract; this involved the design, construction, installation and maintenance (the complete solution) of an unmanned 2MVA temporary power station.

The key success of Ravensthorpe power station is in its monitoring control. UON has the ability to monitor and maintain the power station remotely, using state of the art SCADA technology. Our operators can view real time data and control the entire power station from a mobile phone. This means we can provide 24/7 support for real time service and maintenance remotely.
